Part of the Afternoon Rains series, this was the first in the collection - the flagship for all the others to come. I wanted something to express the light and freedom I feel sometimes, like nothing can hold me down. The darkness of the sea below is heavy and full and supportive. Together, the two pieces create an abstract seascape with beautiful details and hidden writing among the layers of translucent paint.
