Count the Ways - Half Moon
It can be hard to see the beauty and blessings that fill your life when you're living it every day. They blend into the background, dying to be seen, to be recognized, but we have this tendency to look right through them. Our eyes search for the bad, scanning for darkness and pin pricks in our skin. Not the sun on our face or the wind in our hair. We look for the pinpricks. But if we can stop and breathe in the moment, there's so much good that fills our lungs, our hearts, our spirits. Count the beauty, not the pinpricks.
Original painting by Isla Jiang 'Count the Ways’ 2021
24x24" canvas - unframed
Part of the Celestial Collection, this piece is an expression of a moment in time and the desire to hold onto each passing moment. It shows the need to be present and feel every moment of joy and peace as we rest in the here and now without worry for the past or the future. Layers of transparent pigment reveal the depth of the deep blue color in calming, free strokes across the canvas.
