Part of the Winter Blue Series, this piece is an exploration of the depths of ourselves. Each of us carries with us trauma, big or small, and when we shine light into that darkness, it loses its power over us and we find our strength. We are all like gemstones, letting our light reflect and reflect through us, illuminating the unique pieces, good and bad, that make us whole. Layers of transparent pigment reveal the depth of the deep blue color in calming, free strokes across the canvas.
