Hope Eternal - Crescent Moon

Sometimes the hardest thing about being human is having hope. Wondering if you're just preparing yourself to have your heart broken or if you don't hope enough you might never get that thing you desire most. How do you balance that? How do you open yourself to heartbreak knowing how much it might hurt you? And how could you possibly close yourself off from the possible joy that you might let in if you just open your heart a little bit?
